Welcome to my personal site. I started putting these pages together about a year ago, to showcase my radio broadcast & online experience and be the basis for a job search once my wife and I relocated (back) to our family's base in the Carolinas. Well, here we are! And in the meantime, economic conditions have forced the consolidated Wall Street corporations that now control much of the broadcasting business to begin shedding programming positions by the hundreds. Well, that could make it a little tougher to continue a career in that industry, yes? So, if another broadcast challenge comes along (anywhere), great! If not...
All options are open when it comes to future opportunities.
All industries. All possibilities.
What's your challenge? Whether you need an experienced leader of people or a manager of change, a competitive strategist, a budget pro, an innovator, or a copywriter (just some of the experience I can transfer your way)...if you want a person with a rare 50/50 mix of analytical and creative, and a 100% score for honesty and integrity, I could be your guy.
Please click on the appropriate resume version: management, advertising, broadcast, general/functional, to see what I can do that could fill a need for you.
(You might even find some of the broadcasting-related web pages here interesting, or amusing!)

Sincerely,
Mike Berlak

P.S. If you are (or were!) one of those media types, click here for details on an idea I had for an entirely new way to do local radio designed to engage the audience like very few present-day formats can. And, you can also join in our discussion of the state of radio programming today in our "I've Been Thinking..." forum: here.
